TERRORISTS WANT US IN MIDDLE EAST SEEING HOW U.S. IS LOSING IT AT HOME!

posted Friday, 30 October 2009

Everytime the U.S. talks of leaving Iraq and/or Afghanistan the terrorists create more havoc, killing our soldiers and their own people.  Why?  Because they want us to stay there!  Why?  Because we do more damage to ourselves the longer we stay.  They see how they've weakened our economy with these wars, how divided as Americans we've become, seeing each other as enemies, and they believe it will lead to our demise, from within.  We have yet to recuperate from the attacks of September llth.  The terrorists may know us better than we know ourselves.

LET'S TAKE A LOOK - 9/11 happened with our economy taking a tremendous hit with service jobs replacing manufacturing jobs.  President Bush & the Republicans in cahoots with corporate business sector, passed laws assisting business to outsource middle class jobs using the people's tax dollars.  The Patriot Act was passed taking away 5 major Constitutional Rights of U.S. citizens with no oversight.  Bush made the claim, YOU'RE EITHER WITH US OR AGAINST US, and that was for those inside and outside the country, bringing about serious inner division.  Ideologies have replaced patriotism, where even our brave men and women in the armed forces can return from war having a progressive ideology, only to see their service to our country minimized, disrespected or rendered insignificant.

The terrorists, like Al Qaeda and a number of terrorist groups that are aiding their cause, see our new President, Obama, as a threat to their plan for our future.  They believe if Obama removes the troops from both countries, it will kill their opportunity for our demise.

And there's tremendous happiness that the Anti-Obamas (many Republicans, the Tea Party, a large portion of White elderly folks, 54% and the bigots) are doing their work for them, internally.  Al Qaeda and the Taliban want us to fail (just like Rush & the Anti-Obamas) even worse than the Soviet Union did in their war in Afghanistan.  Thus, giving them the power and respect they believe they deserve within the world community.

The longer we stay in Iraq and Afghanistan will only increase natives of each country to become so-called insurgents.  That's right, our staying increases the resentment toward us because we continue to kill the innocent - through collateral damage and occupying their country.  President Obama sent an additional 20,000 troops to Afghanistan since the first of the year.  Those troops are just arriving there.  What makes Republicans think that giving the order for an additional 40,000 troops will affect the battlefield overnight?  The troops that were killed in October would have died whether the President was sending the additional troops or not!

If President Obama decides to send 40,000 more troops, as General Stanley McChrystal suggested, without changing the mission to eliminating Osama Bin Laden and his two key henchmen, Al-Zawahiri and Mullah Omar, and rendering Al Qaeda impotent, on a mission taking an additional 8 to 10 years, it could render his re-election null and void.  After 8 years of waste and the installation of a puppet government in Afghanistan that is corrupt, Obama would be asking us to start over again, with a known corrupt government.  If we have the money and energy to rid a foreign country's government from corruption, wouldn't it be a more beneficial to start right here at home in the relationship between lobbyists and the legislative branch of our government?

People in the media are hyping how the death toll of our soldiers in Afghanistan is higher than ever before, they forget to relate that we've added an additional 20,000 soldiers there - MORE TARGETS!

IED's, roadside exploding devices (with the trigger being mainly the cell phone), have killed (80% of all deaths) more soldiers than anything else.  We have a defense budget (this year $650 billion) buying new planes, ships, equipment and missile systems that have no place in fighting the wars we're fighting.  But we haven't put the money and effort into seeing how to destroy or render IED's helpless while we are in their range.

8 years, and the best we could do was come up with a truck that's suppose to direct the force of the blast away from the underside of the vehicle.  I don't think there has been enough concern for the problems of our brave men and women out in the trenches of these wars.  We sure could do better for them when they return home with traumas, physical and mental, or in flag draped coffins, too.

The money we're spending in the defense budget each year doesn't seem to give us superiority in these 2 theatres of war.  This does not disparage the brave men and woman, but those who set up their missions and how the generals carry them out - and lets not forget the seeming incompetence of those who direct the money in Defense Department's budgets each year.  Remember, these are the same people who sent our soldiers into combat without bullet proof vests.  Unconscionable considering what we spend for the military, annually.

What's most telling is how the Taliban is kicking our ass on a budget less than 1% of ours.  According to government intelligence, there's only 100 Al Qaeda left in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region.  We need to capture some of their people (Al Qaeda & Taliban) and have them teach us how to do more with less.  These folks don't have an airforce, or drones, or super technology (they use ours against us), or a navy.  What has transpired in Iraq and Afghanistan is an indication how we are wasting money in a defense budget that's overly bloated with waste, fraud and incompetence attempting to protect this nation - grossly inefficently.

Afghanistan/Pakistan is more of an espionage & infiltration, special forces, drone, with light air and naval support project.  Not what we're currently doing.   We don't need a large footprint there.  Too many Afghans believe we are an annoyance and deadly to their wellbeing.   General McChrystal's plan was something we needed in 2001.  8 years later is too little, too late.  Take care of our business, and then get the hell out of the way of the Afghani people to form a government, they want.  Let the U.N. or Nato, with our help, train their troops.

However to have politicians think nothing of wasting unlimited amounts of OUR money on wars and we can't get inexpensive healthcare at home shows a nation with misplaced priorities.

QUESTION EVERYTHING!  THAT'S WHERE THE TRUTH RESIDES.
