BLACK AND WHITE AMERICA HAVE TWO DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES; WE SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES OF THIS NATION.

THE WHITE CORPORATE MEDIA IS TWISTING REVEREND WRIGHT’S WORDS AGAIN. It’s crazy how the White dominated media has taken the position that if minorities, Black folk in particular, don’t see the world in the same way they do, somehow those people are un-American or un-patriotic. LIFE IS NOT JUST A WHITE PERSPECTIVE. When White folks scold Black Americans about racism, IT’S ABSURDLY RIDICULOUS due to their lack of experience. Those Whites with emotional intelligence understand, the others are suffering from a perspective of White Privilege – what would they know about racism?

Do you truly believe Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter and Dick Cheney can see beyond their pompous elitism to know what racism truly has meant for Black Americans, historically? Reverend Wright spent 6 years as a Marine, which is more than most of the Bush Administration -–Cheney got 5 deferrals no less. Bush’s service is questionable yet we question Reverend Wright’s right to free speech in this country and still be a patriotic American.

Reverend Jeremiah Wright spoke before the Press Club this morning eloquently defining the roots of the Black church of which he is a pastor and defining himself as an individual. He gave a historical perspective of the Black church and its function within the Black community and how the nature of the church was one of liberation and reconciliation.

CNN with Roland Martin (Black) and David Gergen have taken the truth this man spoke regarding the conditions of America and how our nation has operated at large, and have turned it into the worse thing that could have possibly happened to Barack Obama. They totally disregarded how much he spoke of reconciliation between the races. There is something very fishy about what’s taking place here – there definitely is a collective mood to disparage this man and through him, besmirch Obama.

What ALL Americans aren’t seeing is how there is a force out there that wants things to continue as they have for financial reasons. They will offer you change that will only be a moderation of what we’ve got – not an improvement or real change. If not for our sake, for our children’s, grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sake we need a change we can all be proud to be a part of – POWER TO THE PEOPLE! Maintain the American Ideal for them!

Obama’s campaign is calling for the participation and activism of Americans in the process AFTER he’s elected, as well as now. That’s the only way change is gonna come about in looking at the 3 candidates. Hillary and McCain are bought and paid for by the lobbyists and they tell you what they will do for you.  Obama’s money comes from the people leaving only beholden to we, the people. He's looking for participation for the people.

The White corporate media will not tell you about the story of Jeremiah Wright. How his church is one predominated by Whites. About his connections with other major ministers who are White. They won’t talk about how he explained our different ways of seeing America. Nor will they speak about the philosophy of the Black church being of liberation and reconciliation. They won’t speak on the diversity of his church and the good things they’ve done to build and transform a community that was hurting. How this program had made a million dollars available for students who needed money to go to college. Or the number of folks helped that were suffering from AIDS and how he’s extended his ministry to the majority at large.

No, we will hear about the little segments they will take out of context about his criticism of this nation – ALL TRUTH! This is how they intend to distract White America. The history of White Americans’ voting patterns since 1960 is one of often voting against their economic interests for racism or white privilege, abortion, gays, pseudo patriotism, guns, and bigoted religion. Black Americans tend to vote for which White man will be most fair to them, hopefully leading to opportunities that will provide better education, good paying jobs, better healthcare and housing. You know, THE SAME THINGS WHITE AMERICANS WANT FOR THEIR FAMILIES.

What makes us all Americans is that we want the same things in life no matter our background. Don’t let the White Corporate Media, doing bidding of the rich and big business, distracting you from those things that are important to us all as Americans. Fear got us into Iraq erroneously! Fear brought about the major divisions between political parties, races and class. People think that when you address class you are being classist. But the rich and big business have declared war on the American people since the Reagan years. We’ve been too distracted to notice.

It’s said Barack Obama has 92% of Black Americans behind him. Don’t forget Al Gore had 90% and John Kerry had 89%. Don’t be fooled into the race game. Realize Black Americans have been right in voting for Presidents that believe in our Constitution come hell or high water, look out for the people’s economic interests and a foreign policy that makes friends in the world, not enemies.
