Not because she’s a woman or who she is, cause I like her generally as governor of Alaska. Not because she may pull some Hillary voters. She’s been in office since December 2006 and is younger than Barack Obama. If I understand properly, a v.p. is one to take over if the President can’t fulfill his/her duties. If Barack Obama isn’t qualified to be President of the United States because of his lack of experience, how is Sarah Palin?
What makes for a good President if you are a half-White Black man is apparently different if you’re a White Republican woman from their point of view.
Governor Sarah Palin makes more sense than most Republicans you listen to regarding the issues, however we do disagree on some things. But I find it difficult to swallow that McCain followers back him for his experience over Obama, yet will take a governor as Vice President with less than two years on the job experience. How does this qualify her to take over as President? It's this kind of thinking that makes it clear that the issue of experience is just another means by folks to discriminate due to color.
White politicians who play this game believe they are fooling minorities but they truly are playing themselves and fellow White Americans. This is why it’s so important to think critically about what’s happening here. The bigger picture doesn’t have to do with race, but the billions these folks want to continue ripping off the working and middle class in tax dollars and giveaways.
This judgment on John McCain’s part says a whole lot about him. For him to complain consistently of Barack's inexperience, this is another example of his being a hypocrite. Straight talking McCain says he puts America first, not politics. Can he still say that?
Unfortunately, this was not only lousy judgment on McCain’s part, thinking he can pull female voters, but I think he’s having a senior moment. This is not consistent – on his 72 birthday, no less!
QUESTION EVERYTHING! THAT'S WHERE THE TRUTH RESIDES.
Well...shucks....72?.....Does the word "Retirement" never come into play?
"Change"is the mantra now Capt. and "Abraham Lincoln" like Presidential
inexperience is the buzzword, thanks to Barack Obama. McCain has wisely
decided, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em"! Governor Palin will get women
and evangelicals energized in the race now plus the white blue collar vote
because Governor Palin is just as blue collar as Joe Biden. Like I have
said from the beginning, don't underestimate the "old man" McCain. This
will be a close race. Obama with his moves "to the center" will lose votes
to Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader, while McCain will lose votes to
Libertrians Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin. Obama and McCain flip flopping so
much and the very negative campaigns they both will run will turn many
voters to a third pary candidate. The two party system is falling and that
is good for America, as I see it.
McCains choice of VP is an insult to all people, especially women. I've
always said that age is a way to tell time. Old is of the mind and McCain
is OLD!
Sarah agreeing to accept the postion to run for vp along side an abuser of
woman and intolerant fuse bomb says much for her and it's not pretty if you
ask me.
Mel, there are inconsistencies among all of our groups. The emphasis tends
to be on White folks because they are in the majority, and are the ones in
control of most of the means of economic advancement. But there are some
serious problems in the Black community that stem from several generations
of Black folk lacking self worth. It's part of the legacy of Slavery. But
it can be overcome. I live that life, so I know it's possible to overcome.
