IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY REALLY AL QAEDA IN THE UNITED STATES?

posted Thursday, 15 May 2008

Osama Bin Laden couldn’t have done a better job of ruining this nation’s economic, political and moral standing in the world as the Republicans have done with Bush at the helm. Can we be sure that Republicans aren’t Al Qaeda in the United States?

U.S. citizens went from experiencing the most vibrant economic times, in the history of this country under Bill Clinton, to a floundering economy (mediocrity hyped as something special) that has seen middle and working class incomes diminish in purchasing power and wages flat. The Republican Party, with control of the House, the Senate, the Supreme Court and the Presidency, took this nation on a reckless adventure that has put us in the worse position we’ve ever been in other than the Great Depression - all for greed.

The rich and corporate America made out like…bandits under Republican rule. But they’ve taken this nation to the tune of 5 trillion dollars in an unnecessary war without end in Iraq. They’ve shredded our Constitution, weakened our dollar, and allowed the author of 9/11 to go free. They’ve also taken good paying jobs overseas, allowed illegal immigration to florish, destroyed the middle class with outsourcing, the housing mortgage scam and usury in credit, allowed the gulf states hit by Katrina to flounder, allowed inferior, food, toys and drugs to enter our border from China, etc. Our trade deficit is through the roof because we don't produce anything anymore.  Republicans have been the outsourcers of America to the point that we’re losing our identity as a nation. Most importantly, these folks have ignored the cries of the people regarding their diminished standard of living.  Republicans respond, LET THE FREE MARKET HANDLE IT.

These folks have sold us out to the contractors, the globalizers, oil companies, the military industrial complex, the rich and corporate America. Our Armed Forces is virtually contracted out and Bush has abused our brave soldiers to the point that we are weaker than ever before. The Intelligence (?) agencies have farmed out work on top secret national security projects to private companies. The Republicans wanted to allow a Middle Eastern company to run our ports at a time when we rightly have suspicions about their ties to terrorism. All of this has been transpiring out of greed.

No one thinks it odd that two oil men have been able to manuever the market so that oil has gone from $28/barrel and $125/barrel. No one thinks it’s strange that Dick Cheney was the CEO of Haliburton and they have a no bid contract that has made them billions of dollars. No one questions the relationship between Bush and the Bin Laden Family that he allowed to leave this country with little to no interrogation, flying them out of the country when U.S. citizens couldn’t fly. No one finds it strange, Bushes ties with the royal Saudi family knowing that the Saudis have given oil money from the U.S. to terrorists. No one talks about how the Commander In Chief allowed Osama Bin Laden to escape in Tora Bora, shortly after we invaded Afghanistan, by outsourcing his capture to warlords in the area. No one talks about how Bush doesn’t even mention Osama Bin Laden’s name accept to tell us that Osama believes Iraq is the main theatre for the terrorists, when less than 2% of the insurgents are Al Qaeda.

With this track record, Republicans, who are not rich or tied to corporate America, would be stuck on stupid if they vote for a Republican this fall. In Congress and in the Senate, they have blocked every bill this Democratic congress suggests to help U.S. citizens. Bush vetos the bill and the Senate and Congressional Republicans uphold his veto. We need to get these obstructionists out of the way. The burdens that Republicans have put on future generations of our children for a misguided war and greed should make anyone even thinking of voting Republican, have a regurgitative reaction.

Now, does this mean the Democrats are any better as people? Only in ideology, but not in integrity and character. We, the people are going to have to be activists to insure that our representative and senators are doing our bidding. And when they aren’t, to let them know about our deep dissatisfaction using our vote to remove them when necessary. That’s one of the reasons I’m for Barack Obama. He’s looking for the people to be activists so we can make the changes we need in this country. He knows he can only bring change with the power we bring to the table.

Hillary Clinton and John McCain keep telling you what they will do for you. Barack is saying we have to do these things together. This is seeing life more realistically. CHANGE WILL NOT COME WITH THE PEOPLE STANDING ON THE SIDELINE.  CHANGE WILL TAKE OUR ACTION.

QUESTION EVERYTHING!  THAT'S WHERE THE TRUTH RESIDES.

Hope one day people will learn to live together, and all terror groups like Al-Qaeda, who try to stop modern cultures grow, or PKK, Kurdish child killers, who try to divide, take over countries and name it Kurdistan will be history. Killing innocent civilians is a crime against humanity. We will never allow them succeed. God bless all those innocents murdered in terror attacks.

Mr. Robot, your wish is mine, but we, the people are going to have to work for it. It won't happen just because we wish it.

Al Queda lives in Bushes mouth. It's the only explanation for the damage that is caused every time he opens it. The man is an embarrassment to this country. Who let him out of the country???

Great central point. People talk about how it's all gone so terribly wrong. I disagree. I think it's all gone perfectly according to plan, their plan.

SophMom/Catty, Bush and company got just what they wanted out of this country. A report on CNN said yesterday that Bush made 6 million dollars off of securities he had in trust and Cheney mad 10 times more. These guys have been con men.

Yup... con men who appealed to greed, telling folks (filling in the unspoken blanks), "don't mind the peace and prosperity of these 8 democratic years...don't mind the fact that the dems have cleaned up the fiscal mess the last republicans slash and spend administrations left... we're going to call them tax and spend dems so that's what they must be... we'll lower your taxes, save you a few pennies while we rob this country blind." Freaking fools.

SophMom, it boils down to: Have these people who have been so easily duped, learned the lessons of the past or will they make the same mistake once again?

The good news is that, given how close the last couple of elections were, we only need a small percentage to switch sides! :)
